Fairhope's Summer Outdoor Market kicks off May 24. The market will be held every Thursday evening from 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. behind the Fairhope Public Library through July 5.

The market will provide a wide variety of local produce, fruits, local honey, fresh cut flowers, plants, baked goods and more! There will be live entertainment at the market and the Fairhope Public Library will be providing story times and activities each week at 4:30 p.m. for children. Bald Eagle Bash
Saturday, June 2, Weeks Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve

Plans are underway for the Third Annual Bald Eagle Bash, to be held at the Weeks Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve on Saturday, June 2. The fundraiser for the Weeks Bay Foundation will take place from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the waterfront Tonsmeire Weeks Bay Resource Center at the Fish River Bridge on U.S. Highway 98 in Fairhope. The Bash will feature an assortment of dishes prepared by top-notch local restaurants with shrimp provided by Eat Alabama Wild Seafood, as well as a variety of drinks and refreshments. The funds raised will benefit the missions of the Weeks Bay Foundation and Weeks Bay Reserve. The Foundation is the only nationally accredited land trust in coastal Alabama. Its mission is to protect the natural resources of coastal Alabama while supporting the goals and programs of the Reserve. The Reserve is part of a national network of coastal reserves established as living laboratories for long-term scientific research and estuarine education.

Fairhope Recreation Department to Host Summer Fun Day Camp
June 4 to July 27 from 7:30 am - 3:30 pm
The City of Fairhope will once again hold a day camp this summer for children in grades 1st through 8th. The camp will run June 4th through July 27th with no camp the week of July 4th.The camp, supervised by local school coaches, will include activities like ball games, swimming, soccer and arts and crafts. The camp will be open daily from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm and is held at Volanta Park and the Fairhope Municipal Pool. The cost is $60.00 per week, per child or $15.00 per day, per child, no half days are allowed. Lunches and snacks are not provided so participants must bring a sack lunch, snacks, and drinks daily. Fairhope Museum of History Summer Camp for Kids
July 10th to July 27th, 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
For the first time ever, the Fairhope Museum of History is offering summer camps for children ages 7-13. The Fairhope Museum of History "Historians in the Marking" Summer Camp, will offer three four day sessions: Behind the Scenes & Digging in the Dirt, July 10-July 13, Art of the Native Americans on the Shores of Fairhope, July 17-July 20 and War and Law in Fairhope, July 24-July 27. Each camp is $100.00 per child and lasts from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Campers are invited to attend all camps or pick their favorite one to enjoy.

Campers will learn about archaeology, art and social customs both from long ago and modern cultures. Camps will include gallery tours, scavenger hunts, art activities, games and special guest instructors. Campers will discover the exciting world of museums and learn about Fairhope history. Snacks will be provided every day but each child should pack a lunch each day except on Fridays, the Friends of the Fairhope museum will provide pizza for campers on Fridays.
